Putin's own Tokyo Rose, Kari Lake, has followed Trump's orders and destroyed Voice of America.
On Friday, Voice of America personnel received termination notices for over 640 more staff. VOA has now reached an 85% decrease in personnel.
This effectively ends the mission of America's broadcasting network which has been countering Nazi, Russian and Chinese propaganda since World War II with vetted, documented and corroborated news reports by ethical journalists.
The Trump regime has, instead, been ordering VOA to rebroadcast OneAmericaNews propaganda to the world. So there is no longer any need for VOA personnel at all.

As once great American news organizations change hands, and fall to the likes of the Washington Post's Jeff Bezos and the LA Times' Patrick Soon-Shiong, they join Rupert Murdoch's FOX and New York Post and Wall Street Journal as mere supermarket tabloids, in business to make MONEY through slanted sensationalism, which appeals to the lowest in human nature.
Very entertaining, but entertainment is NOT their end game.
Like the Colosseum of Rome. which offered up gory displays of gladiators dying for their Emperor, and wild animals tearing the Emperor's prisoners apart, these propaganda machines ALSO aim to impress the rabble with the sheer wealth, power and glory of the current Emperor and his aristocratic rulling class, and his military legions.
The displays are to actually make the rabble feel SMALL. POWERLESS. It is to instill in them a VICTIM mentality.
But WAIT - The Emperor CARES about you. He is giving you bread and circuses to show he LOVES you. He will SAVE you.
Resist him, and he will destroy you.
Bow to him, and you will come under his protection, and he will destroy YOUR enemies.
That is why there are STILL rallies, like the Emperors of Rome held in their Colosseum. Like Hitler held by torchlight in Nuremberg. Like the dictators of Russia and China and North Korea now hold with their military parades.

And that is the same reason why there are ALSO still such propaganda machines.
Canada has banned FOX from presenting itself as news. It is classified there as an ENTERTAINMENT network. Free speech is still honored as a RIGHT there, by making sure it is PROTECTED.
We used to have the same kinds of regulations in America. So-called "Yellow Journalism" - huge radio and print networks of paid propaganda - flourished during the days of the Robber Barons, who built their mansions while working-class Americans starved.
Following WWII there were distinct lines established between what was "news" and what was "punditry" (opinion). Articles and shows were clearly labeled as such. There were penalties for crossing that line, because, thanks to the days of Yellow Journalism, Americans KNEW the kind of harm it caused.
And they KNEW the kind of power it had. That's why even after Nazi Germany fell, The Voice Of America continued in its crusade to counter the propaganda of communist Russa and China. It's mission was to keep smaller countries from falling under their sway by falling for their bullshit. It gave them the TRUTH.
And now we are giving them OneAmericaNews.

Well, this old radio journalist is not having it. Neither are thousands of current American journalists, and journalists throughout the world. We are, all of us, NOT in it for the money. Journalism is not a highly paid profession, or a secure one. It is a calling. It is a passion.
We may be fired one by one. We may be jailed. We may be killed. But other journalists will pick up the pen and carry on. Because the pen truly IS mightier than the sword.
Military legions are limited in size. But the words of truth given to the PEOPLE spread on like ripples in a pond. Unstoppable.
